In honor of the Reading Musical Foundation's 75th Anniversary, the Star Series presents a special Celebration Concert by the Symphony Orchestra of the Curtis Institute of Music. The entire orchestra is composed of a unique group of gifted musicians from Philadelphia's world-famous music school, where more than 100 young students, ages 14 to 25, are selected from around the world to study on full-tuition scholarships. Among Curtis alumni are Leonard
Bernstein, Anna Moffo, Peter Serkin, and nearly
half of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Mozart -
Symphony No. 35 in D Major

Hindemith -
Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes
of Carl Maria von Weber

Brahms -
Symphony No. 2 in D Major
