The emphasis this year will be on the Republic of Turkey including a briefing at the Turkish Desk of the U.S. Department of State, and concluding with a visit and briefing at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey.
For a change of pace, we will also visit the National Geographic Society's headquarters and attend the current program in their "Tuesdays at Noon" series, featuring, on this date, the television classic: "Four Americans in China" (Four Americans explore China as it opens to the West). Total cost ($60.00 for Council members, $70.00 for non-members) includes boxed light breakfast on the bus and a buffet luncheon at Bistro Med, a Washington restaurant specializing in Mideastern and Turkish dishes. |
